How much energy a building consumes over its lifetime depends largely on how its electrical infrastructure is installed. We address sustainability in four areas: the energy-efficient solutions we offer our clients, our environmental practices on site, people and safety, and our contribution to society.
Energy-Efficient Solutions
- Power factor correction: Systems that balance reactive power to reduce grid losses and reactive energy charges.
- Efficient lighting: LED fittings, daylight- and motion-sensor lighting control.
- Automation and monitoring: Measuring and controlling consumption through factory and smart building automation.
- Correct sizing: Selecting the right cable cross-sections and transformer ratings based on voltage drop and loss calculations.
For example, the NETLOG Bursa Warehouse project is, according to the client, an environmentally friendly logistics centre that emits 810,000 kg less CO₂ per year.
Environment on Site
- Separate collection of cable, copper, aluminium and metal scrap and sending it for recovery
- Delivery of packaging and hazardous waste (batteries, lamps, oils) to licensed companies
- Reducing material waste through accurate quantity take-offs and planned ordering
People and Safety
The safety of everyone on site is our priority. For our rules and commitments, see our OHS Policy page.
Contribution to Society
We contribute directly to society through the work we undertake in educational, public and social buildings: IBB Beylikdüzü Kindergarten – Yuvamız İstanbul and the Türgev Başakşehir Girls' Dormitory , home to 728 students, are two examples. Through our internship programme, we also help young engineers and technicians gain experience on site.
Our Contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
| Purpose | Our contribution |
|---|---|
| 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy | Energy-efficient lighting, power factor correction and automation solutions |
| 8 – Decent Work | Safe working conditions, training and internship programmes |
| 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure | Electrical infrastructure of industrial facilities and logistics centres |
| 11 – Sustainable Cities | Safe electrical infrastructure in residential, educational and public buildings |
| 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production | Separation and recovery of waste, scrap reduction |
Indicators We Track
In the coming period, we aim to publish the following indicators on this page every year: accident-free man-hours, OHS training hours per person, the amount of cable and metal waste sent for recovery, and the power factor correction and lighting efficiency gains delivered to our clients.
